Community Response

Each year, in each of our four counties, a committee of volunteers comes together to review applications, hear presentations, and ask important questions of non-profit agencies who seek funding through United Way.  These committees make the difficult decisions related to the use of funds raised during the most recent campaign.  Although a percentage of dollars is immediately set aside for Impact Funding in each county, a significant pot of money remains that must be split among various organizations who utilize funds for specific programs Рfrom after school opportunities for children to prescription medication assistance.

Community Response meets at various times during the months of March and April.
