Volunteers from Hampshire County served on the Community Response Committee for the United Way and invested contributions given to the annual campaign to local nonprofit organizations. Michele Walker, executive director for County United Way, is pictured presenting Jody Long, principal of Slanesville Elementary School, their award of $7,000 for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Funding will provide students in grades 1 – 4 with a tutor after school to help with math and reading.
