It is with deep sorrow and immense gratitude that we remember and honor the life of Barb Buehl, a cherished former board member of County United Way, whose vision and dedication left an indelible mark on our organization.
Barb was more than a leader – she was a guiding light to many. With a heart for service and a mind that saw beyond the present, Barb envisioned a stronger, more connected community long before it was within reach. Her ideas didn’t just inspire us; they mobilized us. Through her tenure on our board Barb helped shape the strategies and initiatives that now stand as part of the foundation of our mission.
Always forward-thinking, always people-centered, Barb brought a rare combination of wisdom, empathy, and boldness to the table. Whether advocating for vulnerable families, strengthening partnerships in the community, or mentoring new leaders, Barb led with authenticity and purpose.
We will miss Barb’s insight, laughter, and the calm strength that she brought to every challenge. But most of all, we will miss her unwavering belief in the power of community – belief that continues to live on in the work many of us do every day.
In honoring Bar’s legacy, we recommit ourselves to the values she championed. We move forward with hearts full of gratitude, inspired by the remarkable life Barb lived and the lasting change she made.
Rest in peace, friend. Your vision carries on.
