County United Way is committed to diversity and inclusion. We value and promote inclusion in all aspects of our work. Count United Way employs and promotes individuals, recruit volunteers, and funds programs that reflect the diversity of our local communities. We are dedicated to greater diversity and inclusion within our organization and provide equal opportunity to people of all races, ethnicities, religions, genders, sexual orientation, abilities, incomes, marital statuses, ages, geographic locations, philosophies, and veteran statuses in all levels of staff and governance. We believe that we are strong only when we embrace and celebrate the rich diversity and gifts of all people. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of what it means to LIVE UNITED.

PURPOSE
Foster an inclusive work culture with diversified talents in our organization, including our workforce, volunteers, leadership and board.

DEFINITIONS
Diversity: the quality of being different or unique at the individual or group level. This includes age; ethnicity; gender; language differences; nationality; parental status; physical, mental and developmental abilities; race; religion; sexual orientation; skin color; socio-economic status; work and behavioral styles; the perspective of each individual shaped by orientation.
