Acrylic Painting 101 – 2024

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn simple methods of acrylic painting, perfect for those who are new to painting. We’ll cover essential topics such as understanding acrylic paints and their properties, selecting and using brushes, and practicing basic techniques. Bring $3 cash to cover materials (goes to instructor).

Growing your Green Thumb: Basic Care of Houseplants – 2024

Overview of houseplant basics. Topics will include watering, potting, propagation, lighting, fertilizer, soils, and common pests for the following plant types; cacti/succulents, ferns, and typical vegetative house plants.

Everyday Chemistry – 2024

In our daily lives, we encounter a wide variety of chemicals, from the food we eat to the products we use. Some are safe and beneficial, while others may be harmful or corrosive. This class explores the role of common chemicals in everyday items and provides a hands-on demonstration of soap making to illustrate the science behind their use. Join us to learn more about the chemistry around you!

We will decorate (3) Pumpkin and (3) Fall Leaf cookies. Participants home cookies, cardboard cookie +A2:E13box, gloves, 4 bags of icing and a scriber needle. Materials fee of $12 covers cost of supplies (cash to instructor).
